As part of the new video series from the Middle East Women’s Initiative, “Ana Huna,” Middle East Program Associate and Editor of the Enheduanna blog Faria Nasruddin, sat down with HE Dr. Sh. Muneera Al Khalifa, Director General of the Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies at the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They discussed the importance of women’s leadership in diplomacy and peacebuilding, as well as the key drivers of change in Bahrain, the current challenges for women in the country, and how to sustain momentum for women’s empowerment and gender equality.
